Stars circle the north pole as the earth turns in this fixed-tripod exposure. Trails from the four stars that form the "pan" of the "Little Dipper" are in the upper left and Polaris, the North Star, is near the center. The star trails show the natural colors of the stars. Nikon 50mm lens at f/8. Single one-hour exposure on Fuji 100 color-slide film. August 10, 2002 from Speculator, NY. ©2002 | |||||||||||||||||||
